Stock Market Live News Update: The key benchmark indices erased the day’s gains and turned volatile in afternoon deals after reports said that plans of US Presiden Biden’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin were not definite. As per a tweet by news agency AFP, Kremlin said that it is ‘premature’ to organise Biden-Putin summit on Ukraine.
The two indices were oscillating between the green and red zones around the flat line. Whereas, the broader markets were under pressure again. The BSE MidCap index was down 0.5 per cent, while the SmallCap index was 1.6 per cent lower.
The overall market breadth was fairly negative with nearly three declining stocks versus every advancing share on the BSE so far.
